Once again, as another year is coming to a close, Diane and I would like to thank all our guests who visited this year, including our regular guests and those who visited for the first time this year. Your patronage is so greatly appreciated. We wish to thank all our guests who have trusted us to hold their very special family events at the resort, whether it be a wedding, anniversary, family reunion, birthday, retirement party or business retreat. It is truly a pleasure for us to host these memorable occasions. We are humbled and honoured by all our guest feedback and comments, on TripAdvisor and other platforms, making us one of the very top resort properties in Canada! Almost every comment mentions our exceptional food, and friendly and helpful service.

  

As a family, this year we have been involved in succession planning, making way for our next generation to eventually take the helm.We are delighted to announce that Diane’s daughter and my lovely step-daughter Katie has joined the resort in September as assistant CEO. Katie is already working to improve our guest experience, operations, and planning for the future, working closely with our General Manager Samantha, department heads and staff. Katie will ensure that the lodge will remain in our family and that the resort and management style will remain the same, always recognizing that our wonderful staff is our greatest asset. Katie is well experienced to lead, having a Bachelor's Degree in Science and a Master's Degree in Finance.

Katie has been living in France for the past ten years, both studying and working in business. Along the way she met and married her husband Hugo, and together they have three children, Charles, four, and twin boys, Thomas and Martin, two years old and both going concerns! This past summer they left France and moved to B.C., purchasing a home in North Vancouver. Katie will often be at the lodge and her family will visit for holidays. This past summer was Charles’ first introduction to surfing! He loved having his lessons with Chance. Katie is looking forward to meeting with you, our guests.
