Electric Bikes are now available at Long Beach Lodge Resort’s Surf Club
Our Norco Electric Bikes, available at Surf Club, are a fun, eco-friendly way to explore the area around Long Beach Lodge Resort without driving a car.

Long Beach Lodge has some electrifying news to share. As of Easter Long Weekend (2025), Surf Club will offer full rental fleet of VLT Scene Norco E-bikes. There’s really no better way to take advantage of Tofino’s Multi-Use Path (MUP), the 44-kilometre ribbon of smooth pavement that connects Tofino to Ucluelet.
The path, which was fully completed in fall 2024, runs mostly parallel to the highway with a few scenic detours. Either way, it allows for a traffic-free cycling experience. As per local bylaws, our bikes are electric assist as opposed to full throttle electric. But the pedal-assisted bikes are arguably better than full throttle because the battery lasts way longer, which allows for a longer range of exploration, and you’ll still get exercise along the way.
If you head north from the lodge you can cruise into downtown Tofino, stopping at shops, restaurants and beaches on your way in. This is especially convenient for our guests who fly into the local airport and don’t have a vehicle with them. But even if you do have a car, our bikes are a great way to get into town without worrying about traffic and parking. If you head straight there without stopping, the bike ride from Long Beach Lodge Resort to downtown Tofino takes about 25 minutes.
The ride south along the MUP takes you through the Pacific Rim National Park. Incinerator Rock, located at the north end of Long Beach, is about a 40-minute ride from the Lodge. The sprawling white-sand beach is a great spot to park the bikes and eat lunch. But as with any bike ride, the journey is the destination. “It’s a beautiful route that meanders between bog ecosystems to dense stands of second-growth forests,” says Tofino Tourism’s website. “The forested sections are a good place to seek refuge from the sun.”
One of the main reasons that the MUP was created was to encourage people to seek alternatives to driving motorized vehicles. So whether you’ve flown or driven to Tofino, our electric bikes are a fun way to reduce your footprint while you’re here.
Saddle up, feel the wind in your hair and explore our coast without leaving a trace.
All Bike rentals are done through our Surf Club. The cost is $79 for under four hours and $109 for more than four hours. Riders have to be at least 18 years-old. Call the Surf Club at 1-250-725-2442 or email them at surf@longbeachlodgeresort.com for more information.
