I hope everyone has had a great summer and is now looking forward to our wonderful autumn season. As I have written about previously, September is my very favorite month in Tofino! Insiders know that we can still enjoy lovely summer weather, beautiful sunsets, fewer people, and great room rates. It's perfect weather for outdoor activities, including beach walks, surfing, and bike riding through the National Park. September is also an excellent time to pamper yourself, relax, and unwind by visiting our luxurious new Rainforest Spa and enjoying our great food and beverage options, including the SandBar.

Starting in September, we are pleased to offer our returning guests and those arriving for a special occasion a Wine and Appetizer Reception in The Great Room every Thursday at 5 pm. Upon arrival, guests will receive an invitation to the event, where we’ll celebrate together and express our gratitude for their patronage over the years. This will be a great opportunity to meet our General Manager, Trevor, and other senior staff members. We look forward to meeting you—it will be fun!

As we head into fall, we're excited for our renowned traditional Thanksgiving Dinner Feasts in The Great Room. This year, we’re offering our scrumptious Thanksgiving Dinner on both Sunday, October 13, and Monday, October 14. On Monday, when many guests from around the country are having to return home, we’re hosting a special Thanksgiving dinner to thank our local community for hosting visitors all summer long. Guests from near and far are, of course, warmly welcomed to join us on both days. While we are always busy over this holiday weekend and the cottages are all booked, we still have some beachfront Lodge rooms available.

We’ve had a busy year, recently completing a beautiful new staff building, which will offer private rooms to a number of our wonderful staff members. We’ve also finished our new gym, guest laundry, and the Rainforest Spa. We’re especially excited about the new spa; it may have been the one missing link. I didn’t want to build a spa until we were able to hire Lindsay as our manager. Lindsay is an RMT with extensive experience working at Fairmont properties, and she would love to meet you on your next visit.

We would really love to welcome you this fall, perhaps as one of our valued regular visitors or for your first time at the resort.

"One of the best “experience” hotels we’ve stayed in"

We stayed here for 3 nights as part of a 14 day road-trip from Ireland and all I can say is that it was absolutely amazing. The staff were all so welcoming, friendly and attentive. We stayed in room 313 which was on the top floor overlooking the beach with a balcony. Truth be told, the hotel was so good we didn’t venture far over the 3 days, instead opting to just “relax” at the hotel walking the beach or sitting outside at the gas fires taking in the ambience and the surfers catching the waves. The food and service in the restaurant was amazing, I would even go so far to say it was the best food we’ve had in a long time at a hotel! If having food at the hotel, make sure you book a table at the restaurant before 6pm and maybe even arrive a little early. They will not reserve the window seats, but to get the best view of the sunset over the pacific - trust me, it’s where you want to be sitting. Cocktails were also very good. If getting a snack during the day you can get it at the Surf Club which is a few steps from the main building. After dinner we just retired to the bedroom with the gas fires going, patio doors open and enjoying a bottle of wine while listening to the waves crash on the beach. We didn’t do breakfast at the hotel any of the mornings as we wanted something “light” opting instead for the delights from the cafe & bakery Tofitian just a few minutes up the road. My wife and I stayed at the resort last November and it was so much fun that we wanted to go back in October this year. The room was great and the service was just the best one could imagine. We will go back next year again for sure, it is that good, highly recommend this resort.
