Three Days of Westcoast Wedding Bliss

Ok, so the time has come. Not just the weekend that you’ve been planning for the whole year, but the day you’ve been dreaming about your whole life. Our events team at Long Beach Lodge Resort is here to make sure everything happens the way that you envisioned, and also to put in the work so that you can be fully present during the most beautiful day of your life.

Arrival Day

Our lodge, in Tofino, BC, is situated about three hours from Nanaimo’s Departure Bay Ferry Terminal, three hours from Comox Airport and five hours from the Victoria Airport, so keep that in mind when you’re coordinating the arrival of your guests.

On the night that everyone gets here, we suggest a party at our Surf Club to kick off the festivities. With lots of space and a fully functioning bar, it’s the perfect spot for everyone to gather and prepare for the weekend to come with a wedding rehearsal.

Before that, our Events Manager will meet up with you, walk through everything and make sure that everything is in place for your ceremony and reception.

Wedding Day

Your Wedding Day is here! And so are you.

Cedar & RoseSalty Dolls, and the Knot Artistry  offer ensuite services, so all you have to do is wake up and let them come to your room for your hair and makeup. And once your flowers are ready, your Events Manager will deliver them so you can focus on what matters most.

And then it’ll be time to tie the knot. The best thing about the location of our lodge is that you have multiple venues to choose from for both your ceremony and reception. Whether you’re saying “I do” with the sand in between your toes on the beach, or on our accessible, beachfront patio, or even inside in the  Great Room that looks over the crashing waves of Cox Bay, our team will be in place to coordinate all the logistics. Tofino’s also blessed with a host of talented local photographers like Jen Mcleod, Erin Wallis, Bryanna Bradley, Chelsea Gray, Paul Levy and Chelsea Warren to capture every important memory from your special day.

Once everything’s official, your guests can toast the newlyweds (that’s you!) with cocktails and canapes on our patio, the Rainforest Room or the Great Room. And then it’s time for everyone to eat, which is where the team at our lodge truly shines. We offer family style, buffet and plated options, all of which are made with locally-sourced ingredients and curated by our Executive Chef. We’re happy to tailor our award-winning cuisine to your budget and dietary needs. Depending on the size of your group, time-of-year and your budget, we can do dinner in The Great Room, Rainforest Room or the Sandbar patio.

Now that everyone’s fed, it’s time to celebrate your union. In other words, it’s time to party. And there ain’t no party like a lodge party because a lodge party don’t stop. Both the Rainforest Room and Surf Club are perfect for late night dance parties, and both spaces have AV set-ups for slideshows and music. Tofino also has a crop of talented DJs, like Jess Rabbit of Tofino DJ Services, who specialize in weddings and know how to play to the crowd. Or if you’re looking for a more acoustic vibe, local songstress Alle Bernardi would be an amazing fit.

And this isn’t our first rodeo (wedding), so we know the importance of keeping your guests fed, even after dinner is long-since finished. Our kitchen team is happy to organize a late-night snack to keep your dance party going well into the night.

The Day After

Everyone knows that the best part about a good party is brunch the following day. The Great Room is the perfect spot to say farewell to your guests before everyone leaves our little slice of paradise and goes back to their lives. When’s the next time you’ll have all of these humans together in the same spot? Our culinary team would love to prepare a family style meal to help you say goodbye to your guests.

After everyone’s gone, it could be said that the real party has started. So why not celebrate with a day in our Rainforest Spa? You’re married now.

The good life is upon you!
